Composite images and retouch them to make a realistic scene for a holiday greeting card. Client is a Los Angeles auto body shop specializing exclusively in high-end vehicles.
My client obtained permission to use this image of an Aston Martin V12 Zagato. A very expensive automobile with a limited run of only 150. The idea was to create a holiday greeting card with the owner riding in this outrageous red sleigh delivering gifts.
It was important that the issue of safety was addressed, therefore all gifts had to seem packed tight into the vehicle. None could seem as though they might come loose. And of course, the safety belt.
The vehicle with the green background is a Vanquish Zagato Family Roadster. Used for the following year’s card, subtle revisions to the existing retouch were required.

All retouch work. Initially the gifts were to remain silver. It was then decided that that this look was not festive enough so I was tasked with introducing color to the wrapping paper and bows. Many adjustments were involved to “cheat” the subject’s arms and hands into the correct position on the steering wheel and door frame as well.
