I’m Ed Ward of Mental Ward Design, and I’m a graphic designer, art director, and production artist. I specialize in image manipulation and graphic design using Photoshop, but I don’t stop there. I hold a BFA degree from Rutgers University and have years of experience as a Graphic Designer, Marketing Manager, Art Director and Director of Advertising for companies in the Entertainment, Motorcycle, and Wholesale Travel industries. Since 1998 I’ve devoted my professional efforts to full-time independent graphic design. But enough about me.
Well, without you, there’s no me (professionally speaking). Therefore I’ll strive to accurately ascertain your marketing needs and create a program that works for you. You alone. I will not use a generic design that fits the template of your competitors. I’ll create an individual statement for you. Unique artwork to stand out in your specific marketplace. I’ll do this by listening. Closely. And by asking questions. Often. I’ll get it right for you. Painlessly. Let’s face it, it’s your business, it’s your image, and frankly it’s also your money. So—as it should be—it’s all about you.
My chief goal is to maintain a long-term business relationship with my clients. I do this not only through solid design, but simply by being there for you. Not just as an outside contractor, but as an integral part of your business team. When you work with Mental Ward Design, you are working directly with the artist. There is no chain of command to distort your wishes on their way down to a junior designer. No, “We’ll have someone get back to you.” No lost time and no excuses. It’s you and me working together. It’s about involvement. About us.
